Infectious Disease

This exercise evaluates the acute care facility’s ability to recognize and respond to a patient presenting an atypical and potentially highly transmissible infectious illness. Participants will assess isolation and PPE practices, interdisciplinary consultation, exposure identification and reporting, coordination with infection prevention and public health authorities, and management of visitors and staff during an evolving infectious disease event.
